.223 Rem Snap Caps from Vector Optics are aluminum snap caps that replicate the .223 / 5.56x45 mm cartridges, allowing safe practice with the firearm and dry firing. A soft silicone disc at the primer position protects the firearm’s firing pin and prevents damage. The snap caps have dimensions that fully match the original cartridges, ensuring proper compatibility with magazines and firearm mechanisms. They are made entirely from an aluminum alloy coated with a bright red anodized finish – this provides high durability and makes it easy to distinguish them from live ammunition. A hole on the back of the snap cap allows attaching a string or lanyard to use them as a keychain.
