Federal Fusion Tipped 7 mm Rem. Mag. 11.3 g / 175GR Hunting Ammunition – 20 Pieces #F7RTFS2
The Federal Fusion Tipped in caliber 7 mm Remington Magnum combines the proven Fusion bonded core construction with an aerodynamic polymer tip. The 11.3 g / 175 gr hunting bullet is designed for high precision, controlled expansion, and deep penetration. The swaged lead core is electrochemically bonded to the uniformly applied copper jacket. This strong bond supports high weight retention and reduces the risk of premature separation of core and jacket. The polymer tip works with the pre-scored bullet nose to initiate uniform expansion upon impact. With a ballistic coefficient of 0.575, the bullet offers favorable aerodynamic properties. The streamlined design reduces wind drift and bullet drop, helping to maintain velocity and energy at longer distances. Federal specifies a muzzle velocity of 2,775 fps, approximately 846 m/s, for this load. This results in a calculated muzzle energy of about 4,056 J. The manufacturer classifies the cartridge for Big Game and Long Range use.
