The Mauser Bolt-Action Rifle Mod. 66 in caliber 7x64 is a popular hunting rifle, produced between 1965 and 1995. The long gun has an overall length of 107cm and a barrel length of 60cm. Due to the telescopic bolt, the rifle is somewhat shorter and more manageable. The fore-end and pistol grip feature Scottish checkering. The fore-end ends with a rosewood cap. The walnut stock with a German cheekpiece is finished with a 2.5cm ventilated rubber recoil pad. There are 2 sling swivels on the stock. The bolt-action rifle is made entirely of steel and very robust. The Mauser 66 has a double-row 3-round magazine and a German cocking piece. The two-position safety blocks the firing pin, is technically flawless, and operates silently. Mounted on the Mauser 66 is a Zeiss Varipoint VM 1.1-4x24 T* scope, which has an illuminated reticle 0, as well as elevation and windage adjustments, and is mounted with an EAW quick-detach mount.
