Mauser 1914 Early Version

Mauser Modell 1914. Very early version from late 1914/early 1915. Designed by Mauser as an official pistol, the Mauser 1914 was used not only by many police authorities but also by the military. The Mauser 1914 was only replaced by the Mauser Pistole Modell 1934 in the mid-1930s and was probably the most popular German pistol with mass bolt until the introduction of the Walther PP. A special feature is the split safety: the pistol is secured with the lateral safety lever and unlocked with the push button below it. Cabinet weapon from a collection. Barrel profile mirror bright, lands and grooves sharp-edged. Original markings/stamps: Slide left = S/N 323xx WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A.G. OBERNDORF A.N. MAUSER'S PATENT (The marking is applied in one line). Frame top plate left = MAUSER Tonne. Small crown in front of the rear sight as imperial acceptance stamp. Imperial proof: double crown U behind the rear sight. One-piece brown wooden grip panel with checkering. Grip panel with small pressure marks otherwise well-maintained very good condition. Caliber: 7.65mm Browning. Original proof German Empire: double crown U. New proof: CIP 11/2023 Mellrichstadt. Barrel length: approx. 9 cm. Dimensions: 15 x 11.5 cm. Weight: approx. 595 g.
