It collects 20% more thermal radiation than a conventional F1.0 lens, improving brightness and image quality. The thermal radiation is processed with an uncooled vanadium oxide (VOx) sensor with a resolution of 384x288 pixels. This is especially important for accurate distance estimation, particularly at longer ranges and poor visibility conditions, as often encountered during night hunting. The measured distance can be displayed directly in the device’s field of view, enabling quick and intuitive capture. Distance measurement is done using a laser aimed at the target. The time the light takes for the round trip is measured and the exact distance calculated. These lasers operate in infrared and are not visible to the human or animal eye. The precise distance data from the rangefinder is a crucial basis for using the ballistic calculator. By combining both functions, necessary scope adjustments can be determined more accurately and shooting precision significantly increased.Ballistic calculator for more precisionThe ballistic calculator is a function that, in conjunction with the RIX+ app, enables precise ballistic calculations in real time. This function is a great advantage as it significantly supports making a precise shot and reduces the need for additional devices.The operation of the ballistic calculator includes the following steps:Data input via the app: Various parameters about ammunition and weapon can be entered via the RIX+ app. These include bullet data such as ballistic coefficient (BC), bullet weight, and muzzle velocity, as well as rifle data such as the distance from the barrel axis to the scope center (Line of Sight Height) and zeroing distance. Up to five different weapon profiles can be entered in total.

Real-time calculation: Based on this data, the ballistic calculator, in conjunction with the distance measured by the laser rangefinder, calculates a correction value. It indicates by how many cm (0.1 MIL) a possible correction must be made on the scope to compensate for bullet drop. An arrow shows whether the correction is needed upwards or downwards. This provides optimal support for ethical hunting. The RIX Titan T3 offers, especially in combination with the app, the possibility to use these integrated ballistic calculations to ensure precision over various distances. The integrated laser rangefinder, which incorporates distance measurement into the ballistic calculation, is thus essential for determining the exact correction values. Video and photo recordings The advanced recording features of the RIX Titan T3 thermal device enable detailed documentation of hunting moments. With an image and video resolution of 1024x720 pixels, razor-sharp recordings are possible, saved on the device in the common mp4 format for videos and jpg format for photos. A generous internal memory of 32 GB provides ample space for countless hours of high-quality recordings. With the RIX Titan T3, the equipment is optimal to capture every moment in outstanding quality and manage the recordings flexibly. The RIX Titan T3 offers maximum flexibility in video recording: 1.
