With the ICS EMG Daniel Defense MK18 S3 in the modern gray color variant, ICS presents a high-quality S-AEG that combines realistic design with state-of-the-art airsoft technology. The airsoft rifle carries the manufacturer designation IMG-180S3-1 and was developed in cooperation with EMG under official license from Daniel Defense. As a result, the model features both authentic Daniel Defense markings on the receiver and the licensed Daniel Defense MK18 handguard with a length of 9.55 inches.

The fully metal upper and lower receiver ensures excellent stability and, together with the high-quality finish, provides particularly realistic handling. The overall length can be flexibly adjusted between approximately 726 mm and 821 mm via the adjustable EMG ZETA retractable stock. Along with the ergonomic EMG ZETA pistol grip, the weight of around 2,877 g, and the 279 mm long precision inner barrel, this creates a perfectly balanced airsoft rifle suitable for both CQB and outdoor use.

Inside works the proven ICS Split Gearbox, which significantly simplifies service and maintenance. Thanks to the integrated quick-detach spring guide, the spring can be changed without fully disassembling the gearbox. Additionally, the model features the practical spring tension release function, which relaxes the main spring after play, thereby increasing the lifespan of the installed components.

For electronic control, ICS relies on the modern SSS.III E-Trigger system. This powerful MOSFET system combines an especially fast trigger response with an integrated smart trigger function, a pre-cocking function, and a factory-installed short stroke trigger that significantly shortens the trigger pull and enables rapid follow-up shots. Power is supplied via a modern T-Dean (T-Plug) connector as standard. Due to the powerful electronics, the model is designed for operation with a suitable 11.1-volt LiPo battery, which is housed in the retractable stock. The MK18 S3 also impresses in terms of internal components with high-quality parts from the ICS MASTER series. Installed are a reinforced piston with full metal teeth, a precisely manufactured cylinder head made of AL6061 aluminum, a matching aluminum piston head, a high-quality air nozzle, and the proven MASTER hop tensioner nub, which ensures even pressure transmission to the hop-up rubber. The robust one-piece metal hop-up chamber, combined with the 279 mm long inner barrel, ensures a constant feed of 6 mm BBs and precise adjustment of the hop-up system.

The included mid-cap magazine has a capacity of 120 BBs and ensures reliable feeding throughout the entire game. For a particularly realistic shooting feel, the MK18 S3 features the proven electric blow back system (EBB), which moves the bolt carrier replica with every shot. This is complemented by a realistically reproduced gas take-off (simulated gas pipe), which further emphasizes the authentic appearance.

The manufacturer-specified muzzle velocity is approximately 120 m/s or 394 FPS with 0.20 g BBs, corresponding to an energy of about 1.44 joules. Slight deviations may occur depending on BB weight and market-related power adjustments. A durable long-type motor ensures reliable drive.
