Note from Triple K USA:
The pistol designed by Aimo Johannes Lahti in Finland was manufactured from 1935 by Valtion Kivääritehdas, the state Finnish arms factory.
The Finnish models known as L-35 often feature a loaded chamber indicator as well as cutouts for a shoulder stock.
They are high-quality made and bear the marking “VKT” on the grip panels and the barrel.
Finnish production ran only sporadically into the late 1950s.
In 1939 Sweden ordered the German P-38 as the standard service pistol but received no delivery due to the war.
They then decided on the L-35, but deliveries also failed for the same reason.
Originally Svenska Automatvapen AB was to produce the pistol under license but ceased operations; Husqvarna Vapenfabriks then took over the contract and produced the pistols from 1940 to 1944 under the designation M-40.
This model has a longer barrel and omits the loaded chamber indicator present on the L-35.
Some of the Swedish pistols later entered service with the Danish police.
Although often called “Swedish Luger,” there is no mechanical similarity to the German Luger pistol.
THE MAGAZINES ARE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURES.
