The Röhm RG89 is a full-size blank firing revolver with a short barrel in caliber 9mm R.K. The cylinder, which swings out to the left, holds 6 cartridges. The gas revolver is blued and fitted with plastic grip panels in wood look. With the help of the additional barrel, signal effects can be fired. The Röhm RG89 N also features a single-/double-action trigger. There is no specific model for the signal revolver; it is rather based on the common live revolvers of an entire era.

Röhm RG89 Test
This time we had the blued version of the Röhm RG-89 N blank firing revolver. Despite the short barrel, it is a full-size revolver. It is also largely identical to the RG 99. Only the barrel is significantly longer on that model. Although the weapon is mostly made of zinc die-cast, all parts give a stable and high-quality impression. The bluing was very well done, which we are used to from Röhm weapons. The grip panels are made of plastic and offer a perfect hold for the hand. However, you should not compare the RG 89 with the smaller models.
In its dimensions, apart from the barrel length, it corresponds to full-sized revolvers in caliber .38 or .357 Magnum. To load, the cylinder can be swung out without resistance. To quickly get rid of the empty 9mm cases, the cylinder has a centrally installed ejector. This also worked without problems in the test. Finally, the gas revolver had to undergo a small shooting test. As expected, it fired cartridge after cartridge without any malfunction. It also turned out that cases from Umarex could be ejected slightly easier than other brands. However, this is purely a subjective observation and may not apply to everyone.
The Röhm RG 89N is a robust and reliable gas/signal revolver. It is suitable for all purposes and also looks good in the display case.
