The clip-on attachment is the most powerful model of the new Krypton 2 series. The design is especially lightweight and compact, tailored specifically for hunting. It can be mounted not only in front of a daylight optic but also used as a thermal monocular with 3x zoom for observation. Pulsar has thought about the shape, as the short design is balanced so that no negative weight shift occurs when mounted on a scope. The buttons and menu field are also easily accessible when mounted.
For thermal detection, the Pulsar Krypton 2 FXG50 thermal camera attachment uses a high-resolution VOx sensor with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, which can detect the finest temperature differences with a pixel pitch of 12 micrometers. The 50-millimeter lens allows a field of view of over 15 meters with a range of over 2 kilometers. Even the finest details of a branch or a finger are precisely detected thanks to sensitivity below 40 microkelvin.
The image output is displayed on a screen with HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The new AMOLED technology is known for brilliant colors and deep black levels.
Thanks to the BT remote control, it can be attached to the stock or buttstock for even better operability. The buttons are raised like on the device, so they can be used at night or with gloves.
The housing is made of a high-quality magnesium alloy, which also made pocket size possible. The material is torsion-resistant, robust, and lightweight at the same time. Magnesium also dissipates heat from the electronics very well. Use with large calibers is possible; the device can absorb recoil up to 6000 joules. With IPX7 protection, dust and moisture have no chance, so bad weather is no problem.
Power is supplied by the IPS7 battery, which docks on the top. Wireless, no cables need to be connected. One battery charge powers the Krypton 2 FXG50 for up to 11 hours. A charger is also included.
Photos and videos can be saved; the built-in video recorder provides 16 gigabytes of storage. New with WiFi is the 5 GHz bandwidth, which can establish a more stable and faster connection to a smartphone. Up to 4 additional people can follow the observation live via the Stream Vision 2 app. The operating system is also updated this way.
