The Savage Impulse Driven Hunter in caliber
.308 Winchester has been specifically designed for driven and
stalking hunts. Its straight-pull bolt allows for quick cycling
without the need to lift and lower the bolt handle as with a classic
cylinder lock. This version is offered in a right-handed configuration.
However, the Impulse system features a convertible,
multi-position bolt handle, allowing it to be adapted to different
user preferences. The ergonomically shaped
bolt handle supports safe and quick operation even in
wet, cold conditions or while wearing gloves. The short 18" carbon steel barrel with a slim profile
makes the rifle particularly maneuverable. The standard
1/2x28 muzzle thread allows for the attachment of suitable
muzzle accessories. With an overall length of approximately 997 mm and a weight
of about 3.04 kg, the Driven Hunter offers a balanced combination
of handling, stability, and practical hunting suitability. The lightweight aluminum system housing features a permanently integrated,
one-piece 20-MOA Picatinny rail. This provides a
stable mounting base for suitable optics. The
robust gray synthetic stock is equipped with AccuStock™ and
AccuFit™ and can be adjusted in length from approximately 324 to 349 mm using spacers.
The adjustable Savage AccuTrigger™ offers a clearly defined
break point and can be set in a range of approximately
680 to 1,814 g. The two-position safety is ergonomically located
on the wrist. The removable box magazine
holds four cartridges and features a magazine release that is accessible from both sides.
