The rifle features a TLD system, designed for precise shots at extreme distances. The massive barrel has a diameter of 28 mm at the muzzle and a length of 710 mm. The closure is equipped with an interchangeable tactical chamber handle and an external magazine release lever, which is particularly suitable for the fast pace in competitions. The modular tactical stock is equipped with an aluminum chassis, a new forend, and a stock machined from a high-strength Egal 55 alloy on CNC machines. The cheek rest as well as the trigger travel are individually and stably adjustable with screws. The extra tube attached to the underside of the buttstock fits precisely into the recess of a standard shooting rest, thus guaranteeing additional stability. The rigid chassis made of aluminum alloy gives the STR Sport superior precision. The multi-radial barrel profile (MRR®) When comparing a traditional barrel with a polygonal and the multi-radial, the latter is ideal for both traditional and full metal jacket bullets. In multi-radial barrels, two different radii alternate, giving the bullet geometrically positive support without stressing it too much. In fact, the bullets follow the circumference pressure-formed and are not cut as in the traditional barrel, which extends the barrel's lifespan. Furthermore, there are no sharp corners like in other barrel systems where residues accumulate, keeping the barrel cleaner and reducing wear. All tests conducted show: multi-radial barrels shoot better and more accurately with conventional lead bullets and with full metal jacket bullets in calibers 7.62 mm (.308) and 6.5 mm (.264) than traditionally shaped ones. At standard pressure values, the exit velocity is higher than with the conventional barrel - under certain circumstances by up to 12%. The bullet seals the bore better, preventing gas from escaping forward, optimizing the effect of the driving energy. Additionally, friction between the bullet and barrel is minimized. The spatial arrangement has further improved due to the extremely tight production tolerances that must be adhered to when manufacturing multi-radial barrels. The multi-radial barrel is ideally suited for the cold forging process. The consistency of the produced barrel profile is excellent, and the overall quality of the barrels has improved. The special barrel geometry of the barrel base in multi-radial barrels allows for a more precise and continuous guidance of the bullet through the chamber neck and the bullet bore than is the case with conventional barrel systems - the bullet hits the barrel's rifling in the best way, reducing flight wear.
