Thanks to the composite construction, the rifle offers special handling and ergonomics. The zoom stock comb can be quickly and easily adjusted in height using a button, which is positioned so that even when mounted you can precisely adjust the sight line. Additionally, interchangeable stock caps compensate for stock length and allow tool-free adjustment to the shooter's needs. Furthermore, the Jaeger NXT is equipped with soft-touch inserts that provide extra grip and withstand any weather conditions. The new fore-end geometry also ensures the rifle is easy to grip and rest. Equipped with a milled Picatinny rail, optics can be mounted easily and repeatably. Moreover, the i-Sight sighting system offers two options for hunting use: with or without sights. Without sights, the barrel muzzle can be used with an M15x1 thread for a suppressor or muzzle brake. This version also includes a straight-pull torsion bolt that impresses with its brilliant ergonomics. The kickdown bolt handle moves the bolt linearly while simultaneously rotating and locking the bolt in the barrel. In the last step, the bolt handle tensions the system in the front third of its swing range, making the rifle ready to fire. Safety is ensured by a bolt lock with a slider that can be set to three positions: safe unload position where the system is relaxed (left), red fire position (center), safety position that blocks the bolt handle (right). Composite approaches custom stock fitting The "custom fitting" is done by the shooter in several steps. The stock length is optimized before the hunt. Depending on arm length or clothing thickness, optional stock caps can be used without tools to shorten the stock by 70 millimeters or lengthen it by 50 millimeters. The second step is adjusting the dynamic stock comb to the sight line. This is done during the hunt at the push of a button, adapted to the scope, stalking scope, or for tracking with rear sight and front sight. The adjustment is simple and quick by pressing a button. This solution allows height adjustment even while looking through the sight axis. The button on the right side releases the lock, and the stock is spring-assisted to extend. Fore-end for a good grip A finger groove combined with injected soft-touch inserts for the palms and a tapered fore-end cut provide an individual and secure grip. No matter where the shooter intuitively grips, the fore-end offers optimal hold for all hand sizes. The stock material in the lower area is additionally reinforced to allow system-open expansion, e.g., for a bipod adapter or Picatinny rails. Different mounts can be securely screwed here.
