With the CR in caliber .308 Winchester, the Suhl-based company presents the "bigger and stronger brother" of the CR variant. The dimensions of the rifle were adapted to the caliber; otherwise, it corresponds functionally and in handling to the Haenel CR gas-operated series. The versatile caliber .308 Winchester promises high performance reserves combined with a universal and widely used cartridge. With this expansion of their product portfolio in the area of indirect gas-operated rifles, Haenel addresses both the civilian and official markets.Barrel lengths of 16.65" and 20" remain identical as already with the CR223. Weight-wise, the CR308 is in the normal average with values between 3.35 kg and 3.6 kg. The direct trigger with a trigger weight of 3200 grams can optionally be replaced by a match trigger (trigger weight 1500 grams).
