The model was designed as a competition variant of the Glock series and features an extended barrel as well as an extended slide. This design influences the weight distribution of the pistol and provides an increased sight line. The pistol is equipped with the Glock Safe-Action system and features the Modular Back Strap System, which allows the grip size to be adjusted with interchangeable backstraps. Additionally, the Gen4 version has a revised recoil spring assembly. The frame is made of polymer, while the functional main components are made of steel.
