The B&T SQD suppressor in the RBS version is a modern, high-performance suppressor for 9mm firearms with a three-lug mount on the barrel. This type of attachment is known from the MP5 but is also used by other manufacturers, such as B&T. The new SQD locking mechanism can be operated even faster and easier; the suppressor is simply slid over the barrel, and the locking engages automatically. To release it, only a locking button needs to be pressed, and the suppressor can be removed.

The suppressor itself is not only a robust and efficient design originally developed for governmental use but also features an RBS construction. This "Reduced Back Pressure" ensures less back pressure in the system, fewer propellant gases are expelled into the firearm, and the entire system operates more quietly and reliably. The compact design extends the firearm by just 150mm and weighs 374 g. The standard version is black anodized, and a Cerakote coating is available as an option, as with all B&T suppressors.

Please note:
For versions with Cerakote coating, color fidelity cannot be guaranteed after high shot loads! If the suppressor is close to glowing, this will naturally affect the surface. However, a suppressor made of aluminum should not be subjected to such stress anyway - and with 9mm Luger, it is also difficult to stress it that much.
