For sale is an absolute rarity and a piece of true German craftsmanship from the renowned house of F.W. Heym. This classic break-action signal pistol in the monumental caliber 4 (26.5 mm) impresses with its traditional manufacturing quality and reliability. Unlike the widely used modern military models made of plastic and sheet metal, this Heym pistol was still made solid, aesthetically pleasing, and extremely robust from solid metal. It is also equipped with the original classic wooden grip panels, which give it a timeless elegance.

The present specimen with the serial number 12229 was officially civil proofed by the proof house in Munich in 1971. The valid German civil proof (CIP) is a huge advantage for buyers, as the weapon can thus be legally fired. Many military signal pistols offered on the market without this civil proof are purely decorative or collector's items – this Heym, on the other hand, is fully operational and functional.
Excellent condition and precise mechanics

The weapon is in a very well-maintained, clean condition (rating 2-). The break opens crisply and closes absolutely play-free. The original wooden grip panels are provided with a fine checkering that ensures optimal haptics. The barrel is clean from the inside, and the lock works absolutely reliably. The hammer engages cleanly and strikes powerfully. The metal surfaces show only minimal, age-related traces, but no major scratches or rust, which underscores the excellent preservation of this over 50-year-old quality weapon.

With a weight of 0.95 kg, the pistol lies extremely solid and balanced in the hand. The proven single-action trigger system combined with the classic break-action mechanism makes handling in an emergency safe, intuitive, and absolutely reliable.
