The Swedish manufacturer Spuhr presents with its 3rd generation an even more proven, more robust, and unique block mounting solution for its precision shooters. Made from a solid block of 7075 T651 aluminum, for the highest precision and quality. This eliminates any stresses in the mount - even with temperature changes, it remains true to form. Based on this construction, the mount is reliable and precise even under extreme weather and temperature conditions.

According to external information, the 3rd (C) generation has changes that adjust the spacing of the intermediate rings to provide a better and safer mounting option for newer scopes with a different measurement of the central part/turrets. Here, the size-optimized A40B ring cap with an ISMS interface (first ring) is used in combination with the A-41 ring cap (the objective side ring) with 3 ISMS interfaces. Exceptions are the cantilever (offset) mounts, which use the A-30 and A-31 ring caps.

Further information indicates that the side clamps have been newly revised, constructed to be even more solid, and thus are more robust than their predecessors. An advantage arises from the slightly longer base mount, which can access the rail even more securely.

The changes of the 3rd generation apply exclusively to the SP series and have so far no impact on the QDP series, which is to remain unchanged for the time being, as long-range shooters have shown long-term interest in a non-interchangeable mounting solution, making a change currently irrelevant.

Thanks to the patented 45° offset mounting caps, the ring cap keeps the scope securely in the mount, as well as providing more space for interfaces and attachments at important positions like 12, 1, 3, and 6 o'clock. With the included 10° adjustment wedge, the scope can be perfectly and easily aligned in the mount. Spuhr represents the pinnacle of development and performance in scope mounts and takes a significantly more elaborate approach in the manufacturing process compared to other manufacturers.
