Product description
For sale is an absolutely contemporary original of German weapon history: A Mauser HSc (Hahn-Selbstspanner-Pistole c), manufactured in the traditional Mauser factories in Oberndorf am Neckar during World War II. This innovative pocket pistol was developed in the late 1930s as a modern competitor to the Walther PPK and is characterized by its streamlined design with an almost completely concealed hammer.
The serial number 823525 assigns this pistol to the regular wartime production from 1943 to 1944. What is special for collectors and historians: The weapon is completely matching, both the slide and the grip frame bear the same serial number. It is an honest, untouched specimen that carries the authentic traces of its era.
Authentic service condition with character
The pistol is in a visibly used service condition of category 3-. The original wartime bluing shows the typical age-related wear, particularly on the edges and the grip frame due to carrying in a holster. A charming spotting as well as occasional light, superficial corrosion (pitting) underline the historical character. The original wooden grip panels show normal signs of wear, while the barrel appears matte due to age.
The weapon bears the contemporary, historical markings from the production period (Adler N). Since there is no current or valid civilian CIP proof, the pistol does not have approval for active shooting range operation and is explicitly offered as a historical collector's item or specimen.
Classification for collectors
This Mauser HSc does not impress with a flawless factory finish, but with its authentic, unvarnished condition. For collectors of German service weapons from World War II or for a Mauser special collection, this is an opportunity to acquire a matching specimen from the renowned Oberndorf gun factory at a fair entry price. A suitable original magazine is included in the delivery.
The delivery includes the weapon along with one magazine. Please note the legal regulations for the acquisition and possession of historical firearms.
