The Glock G45 Gen6 pistol in caliber 9mmLuger is the compact crossover model of the series – here equipped with the A-Cut interface and the already securely mounted Aimpoint COA red dot sight.The A-Cut interface is the result of the collaboration between the pistol manufacturer Glock and the red dot sight producer Aimpoint. It allows the Aimpoint COA sight to be mounted directly on the Glock G45 Gen6 without an adapter plate. This creates an absolutely secure unit that ensures maximum aiming accuracy.

The ergonomics
The ergonomic design has been significantly improved compared to previous generations in the G45 Gen6. This starts with the standard grip. Its new RTF6 texture, extended to the slide, combines the advantages of the RTF2 and RTF4 textures previously used by Glock in an innovative surface structure. The haptics and grip are noticeably better. The extended beavertail and grip are shaped so that the pistol fits organically to the shooting hand. The grip grooves at the front and back are more angled, allowing the compact slide to be cycled even in wet conditions and with gloves. An extended thumb rest is located on both sides, and the edge around the slide stop lever has been enlarged to prevent accidental activation.

Operating comfort
The flat trigger system of the G45 Gen6 guarantees a consistent finger position with a continuous trigger weight of 2,651 g. The trigger is also part of the Safe Action System, which includes automatic safeties: in addition to the trigger safety, there is also a firing pin safety and a drop safety. The 3 safeties are deactivated sequentially when the trigger is pulled and automatically reactivated when the trigger is released. The distance between the trigger and grip has been reduced, and two included interchangeable backstraps in sizes M and L allow for individual adjustment to hand size. The high undercut at the trigger guard, along with the beavertail, contributes to better recoil compensation, and there is a rail in front of the trigger guard for mounting accessories.

A-Cut interface and Aimpoint COA
Thanks to the A-Cut interface, the sight sits absolutely securely on the pistol. Shooting with the red dot sight is intuitive, as it can be aimed just like with iron sights. A large field of view with a narrow frame provides a good overview. The optics are completely sealed against environmental influences and dirt, and they are waterproof up to 25 m depth. The red dot sight features 12 brightness settings: 1-4 for nighttime use, 5-12 for use in daylight. Elevation and windage adjustments are made easily and straightforwardly with audible clicks using a T10 Torx. The battery life is approximately 5 years of continuous operation, and a battery change can be done without removing the sight.
