Revolutionary 5-in-1 binoculars with thermal imaging, 4K day & night vision, laser rangefinder & switchable IR illuminator (850/940 nm)
The ThermTec VENTUS 635L combines thermal imaging technology, digital night vision, daylight observation, and laser range measurement in a compact binocular system. The combination of a highly sensitive thermal imaging sensor with a NETD value of ≤ 15 mK, high-resolution 4K UHD CMOS sensor, and switchable infrared illumination allows for flexible use under various lighting and weather conditions. The intelligent linking of multiple observation channels creates a versatile observation instrument designed for both detection and detailed assessment of targets. The system is complemented by modern image processing, ergonomic controls, and numerous comfort features for pleasant use over extended periods.
Thermal imaging technology & sensor technology for precise detection
- Highly sensitive thermal imaging sensor with NETD ≤ 15 mK: The integrated thermal imaging sensor operates with a thermal resolution of 640x512 pixels and a pixel pitch of 12 µm. The low NETD value of ≤ 15 mK makes even small temperature differences visible. This allows structures and heat sources to be differentiated even under challenging weather conditions. The optimized sensor architecture is additionally supported by modern image algorithms that enable high-contrast and detail-oriented representation.
- Thermal channel with 35 mm lens & F0.9 aperture: The thermal imaging system uses a thermal lens with a focal length of 35 mm and a light intensity of F0.9. This combination supports efficient capture of thermal signatures even at greater distances. At the same time, a balanced ratio between field of view and detail recognition is maintained. This makes the thermal imaging binoculars suitable for both area observation and targeted addressing of individual objects.
- Large observation range for extensive application areas: The ThermTec VENTUS 635L allows for a thermal detection distance of up to 1,800 m. This enables the detection and observation of heat sources even at large distances. The distance for safely addressing a deer is specified as up to 200 m. In conjunction with the powerful thermal imaging sensor and high-quality optics, the device is suitable for observing extensive areas.
Digital night vision & high-resolution

- 4K-UHD-CMOS sensor with 12 megapixels: A modern 4K-UHD-CMOS sensor with a resolution of 3536x3536 pixels is available for the digital observation channel. The high image resolution allows for a detailed representation of structures and contours in daylight as well as during night vision use. In combination with powerful image processing, a differentiated overall image is created. This makes it easier to recognize and assess fine details.
- 50 mm lens for the digital channel or night vision channel: The newly developed digital lens has a focal length of 50 mm and a light intensity of F1.4. This optimally supports the digital observation channel and is designed for a detailed image representation. The combination of sensor and lens ensures a balanced representation over different distances. At the same time, users benefit from improved detail recognition within the digital channel.
- Switchable dual-IR illumination with 850 nm & 940 nm: The detachable infrared emitter offers the option to switch between 850 nm and 940 nm wavelength. This allows the illumination to be flexibly adapted to different observation situations. The integrated focusing also supports targeted illumination at different distances. If no infrared illumination is needed, the emitter can be easily removed.
Image quality & intelligent image processing
- AI Zoom Pro algorithm for detailed enlargements: The AI Zoom Pro technology is based on specially developed image algorithms for the digital optimization of image representation. Even at higher digital zoom levels, important structures and contours remain visible. The algorithm processes both target objects and background information to create a balanced image. This supports detail perception during magnification.
- Thermal super-resolution with AI support: The integrated thermal super-resolution technology uses artificial intelligence to enhance thermal image information. During digital enlargements, additional image details are reconstructed and optimally displayed. This results in a more precise perception of relevant structures within the thermal image. Especially at varying observation distances, this technology contributes to consistent image quality.
- EIS image stabilizer with three selectable levels: The intelligent EIS image stabilizer works with zoom-dependent algorithms and can be individually activated in three intensity levels. This reduces image movements and makes the representation calmer. Especially at higher magnifications or greater observation distances, stabilization supports detail recognition. The flexible adjustment allows for needs-based use depending on the situation.
Multispectral observation & intelligent functions
- Picture-in-picture function for digital & thermal view: The picture-in-picture function combines the thermal image channel with the digital daylight mode or night vision mode. This allows thermal information to be viewed alongside the optical representation. The simultaneous display of different image sources facilitates the interpretation of relevant observation details. This supports a more comprehensive detection and assessment of relevant details under different lighting conditions.
- Multiple observation modes for different lighting conditions: The system allows the use of daylight mode, night vision mode, and thermal imaging mode both individually and in various combinations. Users can flexibly switch between channels or use multiple views simultaneously. This allows the device to adapt to different environmental conditions.
Conditions. The seamless integration of the modes expands the application possibilities throughout the entire day.
- Integrated laser rangefinder up to 1,000 meters: The integrated laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1,000 meters with an accuracy of ±1 m. The distance measurement is performed directly in the device and can be used without additional equipment. This provides distance information immediately during observation, facilitating the assessment of spatial conditions in the observation area.
User comfort, ergonomics & power supply
- Large 0.5-inch AMOLED display with 1600x1200 pixels: The built-in AMOLED microdisplay has a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. The self-illuminating technology produces high contrasts and a clear image representation. At the same time, the high pixel density supports a detailed reproduction of fine image information. The display performance remains stable even at low temperatures.
- Ergonomic thermal imaging binoculars with one-handed operation: The housing shape has been designed for safe handling and comfortable use. Separate focus wheels for the individual channels allow for targeted control with one hand. The arrangement of the controls supports intuitive access to important functions. Additionally, the anti-slip surface structure ensures a secure grip.
- Replaceable battery system with automatic screen shutdown: The ThermTec VENTUS 635L uses two standard 18650 batteries and achieves a runtime of up to six hours per battery set. The replaceable battery system allows for quick replacement of empty batteries. An integrated proximity sensor automatically turns off the display as soon as the device is removed from the eye. This saves energy and efficiently utilizes the available operating time.
Storage, color palettes & connectivity
- Integrated 64 GB storage for image & video recordings: The device features internal storage with a capacity of 64 GB. Recordings can be saved directly in the device without the need for additional storage media. This enables easy documentation of observations. Images and videos are then available for further evaluation.
- Multiple color palettes for individual image representation: Various color modes are available to customize the thermal image display. In addition to classic black-hot and white-hot representations, other color palettes can be used. This allows the representation to be adapted to personal preferences and different observation situations. The various modes support the perception of relevant temperature differences.
- App connection for expanded usage options: The ThermTec VENTUS 635L supports connection to the manufacturer app. This allows for additional functions and management options to be utilized. The connection expands the possibilities for data management and device customization. At the same time, it creates a comfortable interface between the observation system and mobile devices.
