The versatile MARS-H combines the robustness of a combat-proven weapon system, the precision of a long-range rifle, and the flexibility of our modular MARS™ system. Equipped with a 16" barrel (hard chrome, 1:10 right-hand twist) and a two-stage trigger, this rifle offers lasting precision. It is based on LMT®'s patented Monolithic Rail Platform (MRP™). This is the only true monolithic rail platform machined from a single solid piece of aerospace aluminum. Two side-access locking bolts are used to secure the barrel extension. This patented technology completely encases the barrel extension (360 degrees) and allows for a barrel change in seconds while maintaining the point of impact when reusing the same barrel. A single receiver can be used with barrels of different lengths, materials, and calibers. The upper receiver features a 19.25" long Picatinny rail at the 12 o'clock position. The remaining seven sides offer M-LOK compatible mounting points. MARS-H barrels are equipped with a low-profile gas block and a straight gas tube. They feature a special coating and have been cryogenically treated for long life. The ambidextrous MARS-H lower receiver includes our EDM-crafted two-stage trigger, an enlarged trigger guard (winter trigger guard), a rear plate with QD sling swivel attachment, the ergonomic LMT® grip with textured surface, and the SOPMOD stock. The ambidextrous controls include the bolt catch lever, magazine release, and safety selector. As with all LMT® lower receivers, the buffer tube extension is coated with a dry lubricant film. This weapon system comes complete with magazine, user manual, and three rail covers.
