Schmeisser AR15 small caliber conversion system .22 LR SPORT

The Schmeisser AR15-22 conversion system allows the shooter to operate their AR15 for training and competition in the caliber .22 long rifle. Manufactured with the usual Schmeisser quality, the WS is available in various barrel lengths and variants, but is sportingly approved in the version with the "closed" handguard. The conversion of the weapon is easily done via the two disassembly pins, namely the "take down" and the "pivot" pin; the conversion system is placed entirely on the lower receiver and is ready for use. Only a separate optic is needed. The trigger, safety, and magazine release lever are utilized from the base weapon, while the bolt catch lever is non-functional, as with all .22 conversion systems. The bolt is caught by the .22 magazine after the last shot; these magazines are the Black Dog or DPMS standard, as used by the Nordic Systems WS and the CMMG insert system. This allows the shooter to rely on a wide selection of reliable magazines and corresponding loading aids.

The system itself features a mass bolt that runs completely in the upper receiver - meaning that AR models with folding stocks and without a buffer tube can also be equipped! Suitable for all Mil-Spec AR15s and equipped with a 1/2"x28 muzzle thread, this system is universally applicable.

The sportingly approved variant can and may accommodate the following attachments:

- Bipod
- Grip, straight
- Grip, angled
- Muzzle brake or compensator "or similar"

It is also noted that the lower housing, i.e., the base weapon, can come from "another manufacturer"! This should clarify many uncertainties in the clubs (see linked notice, page 4, section "Result").
