Its lightweight design preserves the natural balance of the weapon. Like all Freyr & Devik silencers, the Featherweight 196 Titanium has been specifically developed for hunting. Grade 5 titanium is used in the housing and in the core of the silencer chamber. The temperature here can exceed the melting point of aluminum. Strength and temperature resistance are crucial for a lightweight, robust, and durable silencer. Freyr & Devik uses high-strength aerospace aluminum for parts that are less exposed to heat, such as the housing and the front baffles. The silencers feature the classic streamlined Freyr & Devik design. The tapered shape is also optimized for strength. It allows the silencer to glide more smoothly through denser vegetation. The raised muzzle reduces water ingress when hunting in the rain. All Freyr & Devik silencers can be easily opened without the use of tools.
