The Schmeisser CSS stock is a telescoping stock for compact AR15 systems. Shorter than standard sliding stocks, the CSS uses its own, significantly shorter buffer tube and guide rails that run alongside the housing - similar to the iconic sliding stock of the MP5. The stock is robustly constructed with steel guide rails, and the length can be adjusted in 4 stages. The cheek rest always remains on the stock cap, regardless of the length used, allowing for a proper cheek weld in every position.

Due to the shorter buffer tube, the CSS set is delivered with a matching spring and an appropriate buffer - NO AR15 standard springs and buffers can be used! Therefore, the set is only suitable for calibers .223 Remington & .300 Blackout; an adjustable gas block for fine-tuning is recommended but not absolutely necessary.

NOT suitable for 9mm, .308 Win., .450 Bushmaster, and other calibers except .223 Rem. and .300 BLK! Exceptions exist, of course, if the stock is used on firearms without a buffer spring, such as the depicted BRN-180.

The CSS does not use an end plate and fits directly against the lower receiver; installation is very easy to accomplish. Equipped with a total of 3 QD mounts for American ball pressure systems (e.g., Magpul), the stock offers plenty of options for sling mounting - 2 mounts are located on the sides of the stock cap and one mount is positioned at the back of the housing below the buffer tube.

Please note:
A total length of the weapon of more than 60cm is quickly undercut with this stock on short barrels! With a 10.5" barrel, the total length should just be sufficient - please check before purchasing! The length is measured from the muzzle to the stock cap. Muzzle brakes or similar do NOT count towards this.
