PST short for "Precision Shooting Tactical" stands for absolute precision and solid construction for long distances in the Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 MRAD riflescope. The 2nd generation of the PST series from Vortex offers various features from the expensive Razor HD series, such as the RZR Zero Stop technology, which prevents losing the chosen setting when turning below the line of sight.
The 10-step illuminated reticle adjustment allows optimal intensity control for any lighting situation. The MRAD reticle shows subtension lines, floating wind hold points at maximum magnification, and enables optimal distance, holdover, and windage correction. Since the reticle is located on the first focal plane (FFP), it magnifies for optimal distance measurement. At lower magnification, only a reticle is visible.
Tactical click adjustment turrets ensure easy handling. The optics are equipped with high-quality multi-coated lenses for extremely high light transmission, sharpness, and contrast.
The Vortex is also robustly constructed and offers a lot of scope for the money. Those who do not need the features of the most expensive Vortex series and are looking for a solid long-distance riflescope will be well served.
Highlights:
25x magnification
XD ™ lens elements: XD glass (Extra Low Dispersion) increases resolution and color fidelity, resulting in sharp images
XR™ Multi-Coated: The unique coating of the lenses ensures top-notch light transmission and excellent anti-reflective properties on all glass surfaces
ArmorTek ® - ultra-hard, scratch-resistant coating protects the outer lenses from scratches, oil, and dirt
MRAD illuminated reticle with 10 brightness levels
Glass-etched reticle allows for a complex crosshair design, protected between two layers of glass for optimal durability and reliability
Waterproof, shockproof & fog proof (argon gas filled)
Hard-anodized coating for a glare-free, matte surface (good camouflage)
Exposed tactical adjustment turrets provide quick, accurate, and easily readable elevation and windage settings
RZR ™ Zero Stop - The RZR function (Rapid Zero Return) prevents you from losing your chosen settings when turning below the line of sight. Internal mechanisms remain free from sand, dirt, dust, moisture, and other foreign bodies - even when adjusting the zero-stop position.
Shockproof housing made from a single block of aircraft aluminum
Precision spring system - uses premium components in the erector spring system to ensure maximum repeatability and easy adjustment
Precision-Glide Erector System - allows the zoom lens mechanism to glide smoothly and cleanly through all magnification ranges
