The Midwest Industries HK MP5 Drop-In M-LOK Handguard is an alternative for the MP5, SP5, MKE T41, and similar firearms. The old handguard is simply removed, the new one is clamped in place and secured with the included screw (instead of the original pin for more stability) - done. The handguard is sturdy yet lightweight and offers M-LOK slots in 7 positions. The interfaces at 5, 6 & 7 o'clock feature a rear extension. The handguard has 2 QD mounts, 1 each on the right and left, and the rotation range of the QD mounts is limited to prevent strap twisting. Due to its slim design, the M-LOK handguard is less bulky than the commonly mounted trapezoidal "Tropen" handguard from HK, while the octagonal design still ensures a secure grip.
