The MDT Comp Brake is a muzzle brake optimized for long-range shooting, allowing the shooter to better recognize hits by reducing weapon movement during the shot. Depending on caliber and load, recoil energy is reduced by up to 66%. The angle of the impact surfaces increases from the first to the last chamber to ensure efficient redirection of the propellant gases. The first impact surface also features a small passage hole that ensures that propellant gases flowing back from the front chambers are swirled and do not disturb the shooter. Together with the shaping of the impact surfaces with uneven edges, which cause a swirling of the propellant gases, less dirt reaches the shooter without minimizing the performance of the muzzle brake. The horizontal arrangement of the chambers prevents dust and dirt from being stirred up.

On the top side, the Comp Brake features a contrasting plate with 6 nozzles, which can be adjusted to the needs of the shooter and influence the muzzle rise behavior of the weapon. Additionally, the brake has a recessed muzzle to keep disturbing turbulence away from the projectile. The use of a locking nut means that crush washers are not necessary to install and align the brake!
