Extrema Ratio ERMES OPERATIVO, Black

The tactical knife Extrema Ratio ERMES OPERATIVO in black was actually developed as a commemorative knife in collaboration with the Special Operative Helicopter Regiment (R.E.O.S.) of the Italian Army Aviation. The name Ermes comes from the Italian for HERMES, the messenger god of antiquity with winged sandals. Visually, this knife makes a heroic impression: particularly striking are the wing-shaped stylized guard bars - a reference to the regiment's coat of arms.

The stylized guard bars represent the wings that are present in the regiment's coat of arms. The long, slender, and pointed blade is made from high-strength Böhler N690 steel, which is heat-treated to 58 HRC, making it highly durable, and the subsequent bluing provides a homogeneous black surface. For perfect and secure grip, the handle is made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide FRN (Fiber Reinforced Nylon). But what is a knife without the appropriate sheath: the hybrid construction of Kydex and fabric offers a belt attachment with leg loop and MOLLE system.
