ELEMENT OPTICS Theos 6-36x56 FFP APR-2D MRAD

The Element Optics Theos 6-36x56 FFP is the flagship of the manufacturer and the result of three years of rigorous development and testing. The Theos is completely designed in MRAD and can compete in its role as a riflescope for various long-range disciplines with established, and more expensive, names in the industry.

Outstanding features of the nitrogen-filled scope include, of course, a modern and high-quality multi-layer coating and lens coating to not only ensure outstanding optical quality but also to minimize contamination of the lens surface. Furthermore, the scope, according to its intended use, has well-thought-out controls, especially regarding the adjustment of the reticle: the parallax is adjustable from 10m to infinity, and the illumination is set digitally in 10 levels rather than via a bulky knob. The elevation adjustment features a revised tool-free zero-stop and a tactile and visible indicator for the first or second rotation of the elevation adjustment – the quick adjustment allows for 24 MRAD (2.4m/100m) of adjustment in two rotations, and the total adjustment range for elevation is 29 MRAD (2.9m/100m) – the lateral adjustment range is 11.6 MRAD (1.16m/100m) in one rotation.

The side adjustment turret can be secured with a cap or used as a quick adjustment turret without the cap – a thread protection ring is included for this application. Adjustments are made in 1/10 MRAD clicks (1cm/100m).

With a main tube diameter of 34mm, a 56mm objective, up to 36x magnification, an eye relief of 74-89mm, and a field of view of 6.8-1.1m/100m, the scope clearly demonstrates its claim as a precision scope for long distances and its suitability for large calibers. Optionally, a supplied quick adjustment lever for magnification can be installed, and a diopter cap, also included, can be mounted to adjust depth of field, highlighting the design of the riflescope as a scope for precision applications of various kinds.

Reticle:

The APR-2D MRAD reticle is also designed as an all-rounder, as long as the intended use is precision shooting. Naturally executed in the first focal plane, FFP, the reticle, including its "Christmas tree," is fully illuminated – only the horizontally and vertically tapered bars (not shown) leading to the reticle are unilluminated and serve to guide the eye to the target at lower magnifications. While the aiming point has been reduced in size compared to its predecessor to allow for the most precise shots possible, the numbers indicating the number of MRAD bars have been enlarged, making it easy to quickly estimate the hold point even at lower magnifications. Since the entire reticle is designed in MRAD, it is incredibly easy to correct the point of impact or shoot without reticle adjustment using the extensive hold marks.
