The Eickhorn Field Knife FK 500 is an affordable yet robust universal tool for civilian use.
The knives in the Field Knife series are part of the civilian lineup of the traditional Solingen company and offer hunters, bushcrafters, and outdoor enthusiasts a robust, well-thought-out, and practical knife that draws on the experiences of manufacturing military combat knives and bayonets. All Field Knives are made from the well-known Eickhorn special steel (55Si7) with a blade thickness of 3.6mm and have the capability to be used as wire cutters in conjunction with the sheath. The blades are coated in black to avoid wild-reflecting reflections and to increase corrosion protection. The handle is made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic (GFK) and provides a non-slip grip. The steel sheet sheath securely holds the knife in all positions via a spring and can be attached to a belt - additionally, it also features a classic belt hook.

The EICKHORN-Solingen GmbH is a traditional Solingen company for steel goods, founded in 1865 by Carl Eickhorn. The company early specialized in edged weapons and became known around 1900 for its military knives and bayonets. After several changes of ownership, the company is still a well-known and proven manufacturer of robust and reliable military knives and has recently expanded its range back to the civilian market, as it did in its early years, where it can draw on its expertise in manufacturing robust and pragmatic utility knives. The production takes place in the traditional manner in Solingen, making Eickhorn one of the few remaining traditional manufacturers.
