The Eickhorn Seitengewehr 2000 was developed for the Bundeswehr by the renowned knife designer Dietmar Pohl, as there was no solution for the G36. The blade is based on the new version of the KM2000, featuring the revised tanto shape, and has the partial serration of the combat knife. Made from Eickhorn Professional steel, the 3.6mm thick blade offers high flexibility and toughness, as expected from such a universal knife.
The handle is made of GFK, as is the sheath, which can be attached to MOLLE systems or belts. This bayonet is delivered with the original HK G36 mount.
Two variants are available - the version with and without "WC" - the Wire Cutter. The wire cutter is a combination of blade and sheath, where the blade is hooked into the corresponding bolt of the sheath through the integrated hole at the tip, allowing the combination to be used as a wire cutter. Due to the handle and sheath material, it can also cut live wires. This use is, of course, not recommended and does not comply with UVV.
Please note:
The G36 bayonet mount is NOT compatible with the NATO bayonet mount!

The EICKHORN-Solingen GmbH is a traditional Solingen company for steel goods, founded in 1865 by Carl Eickhorn. The company specialized early on in edged weapons and became known around 1900 for its military knives and bayonets. After several changes of ownership, the company is still a well-known and proven manufacturer of robust and reliable military knives and has recently expanded its range, as in the early years, back to the civilian market, where it can draw on its expertise in the production of robust and pragmatic operational knives. The manufacturing takes place in the traditional manner in Solingen, making Eickhorn one of the few remaining traditional manufacturers.
