The Federal 7.62x39 Power Shock with 123gr is a classic soft point bullet for hunting use. The Power Shock loadings are characterized by reliability, precision, and functional safety. The soft point bullet is a partial jacket, like any other TM bullet, with performance varying depending on distance and velocity. As such, this ammunition should be used primarily for roe deer; for hard game, more stable bullets are better suited. However, for the hunter who primarily targets roe deer and predators and is looking for ammunition that does not strain the wallet at the shooting range or in shooting cinemas, the Federal Power Shock is just right.
The external ballistics of the Power Shock in 7.62x39 are very close to classic military loadings, allowing for the use of the same sight settings in most cases.
