The VORTEX Venom Enclosed Micro Red Dot is the budget-friendly offshoot of the Defender Enclosed models. Without a solar cell and somewhat simpler, it is primarily designed for the sport shooter or hunter looking for a robust and weatherproof sight for their handgun or as an addition to the primary optic on their long gun.

The Venom Enclosed uses a CR2032 battery and the Leupold Delta Point Pro footprint, allowing it to be mounted, for example, on the current optical ready SigSauer pistols without a mounting plate. Various mounting screws for the most common mounting plates and interfaces are included, enabling the sight to be easily used on a variety of firearms.

For use in sporting, dynamic disciplines, this reflex sight offers very good conditions with its simple dot and distortion-free, parallax-free optics - a variant in 3 MOA or 6 MOA is available, depending on preference and intended use. Even when used on long guns, the sight offers advantages due to its robust construction and large lens; the closed design makes it ideal for backup aiming, as dirt or water cannot block the emitter.

The dot is 12-level dimmable, with 2 levels for NVG, activates automatically with movement, and turns off automatically after 10 minutes without movement. The multi-coated aspheric lens ensures a clear, distortion-free view. The sight is, of course, dust and waterproof.
