The Eickhorn SEK-M dagger was designed by Dietmar Pohl in collaboration with the traditional Solingen company specifically as a cutting knife for special operations. The double-edged blade and the aggressive serration on both sides allow for cutting straps and ropes from any position, and the distinctly shaped guard element prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade, even under heavy load and in wet conditions or low temperatures, where fine motor skills may be lacking.
The handle is equipped with textured G10 scales and is strongly contoured, designed for use with gloves.
The blade is made of Eickhorn Professional Plus steel (56-58 HRC), ground on both sides and DLC-coated. This particularly hard surface (Diamond Like Carbon) is extremely corrosion-resistant, suitable for use in saltwater, and non-reflective. The sheath made of Cordura is designed for various attachment options and features an inlay made of Kydex, which securely holds the knife and ensures high stab resistance.

EICKHORN-Solingen GmbH is a traditional Solingen company for steel goods, founded in 1865 by Carl Eickhorn. The company specialized early on in edged weapons and became known around 1900 for its military knives and bayonets. After several changes of ownership, the company is still a well-known and proven manufacturer of robust and reliable military knives and has recently expanded its range, as in the early years, back to the civilian market, where it can draw on its expertise in the production of robust and pragmatic operational knives. The manufacturing takes place in the traditional manner in Solingen, making Eickhorn one of the few remaining traditional manufacturers.
