The new Vortex Crossfire HD 6-18x50 DEAD HOLD 2A BDC is the perfect scope for long distances. Vortex's HD optical system with multi-coated lenses is clear, high-contrast, and bright for perfect visibility. With 6-18x magnification, it is ideal for longer distances starting from about 100m, making it perfect for hunting in large field or mountain areas where accurate identification at long distances is important. The dimmable illuminated dot of the Dead-Hold® 2A BDC reticle allows for quick target acquisition even against difficult backgrounds, such as special light refractions in grass, grain, or other crops, as well as for safe identification at the forest edge in twilight - the illuminated dot can be perfectly adjusted to a sensible brightness level. The BDC hold points allow for precise shooting even at varying distances. The fine lines of the reticle do not cover too much, and as an SFP, the reticle does not magnify and remains consistent at all distances. Despite the huge magnification range, the optics remain surprisingly lightweight.

Although the optics are primarily designed for hunting in wide field or mountain areas and the reticle is extremely popular among hunters, the affordable price also makes the scope interesting for sport shooters with >100m ranges who generally want to shoot with magnification. An illuminated reticle is not a must-have here but a nice-to-have.

The lightweight is a perfect all-rounder for target acquisition at greater distances, but also offers perfect visibility around 100m and is almost unbeatable in price - solid Vortex quality and a perfect scope for those who do not want to spend a fortune.
