The SigSauer Romeo-X Compact is the small offspring of the extensive Romeo-X family. This is based on the military optics for the M17 service pistol and offers the shooter a range of modern features. All optics in this family are machined from 7075 aluminum and feature an a-spherical lens. The generously extended housing of the Romeo-X provides excellent stability and protects the emitter, which features "MOTAC" motion-activated illumination, meaning it turns off when the weapon is stationary and activates as soon as the weapon is moved. Several reticles are available, depending on the model, also interchangeable with an average illumination duration of 20,000 hours with a battery - this is mounted on the side, so the sight does not need to be disassembled. Due to the low height, co-witnessing with the standard sight height is possible, and all Romeo-X models feature 15 brightness levels, of which 3 are for night vision devices.

The Romeo-X Compact uses the Shield footprint and is therefore ideally suited for sub-compact pistols such as the SigSauer P365 or the Glock 43X.
