The Tasmanian Tiger Chest Rig MK II IRR is the tactical variant of the proven MK II Chest Rig. With identical design but equipped with reduced infrared reflection (IRR: Infra Red Reflectance), the Chest Rig offers professional users an alternative that does not shine under night vision devices like a Christmas tree but "absorbs" infrared radiation to a certain degree. For years a benchmark, the Chest Rig MK II is the product against which other manufacturers must measure themselves. With a perfect balance of modularity and simple construction, the Chest Rig provides users with a solid and expandable platform that can not only be supplemented with MOLLE pouches but also accommodates a SAPI or ESAPI plate.
Four magazine pouches are permanently integrated and can hold all common .223 Remington / 5.56 NATO magazines - individual G36 or SG550 magazines or double AR15 or L85 magazines fit into the pouches. These are secured with a Velcro flap. On the sides, there are large universal pouches equipped with a 3-sided zipper that can hold, for example, US water bottles with 1l or similarly sized items.
A foldable compartment behind the magazine pouches can hold documents or maps - in the unfolded state, a standard 10x12" ballistic plate fits into the chest rig, allowing it to be used as a plate carrier. The entire outer surface is equipped with MOLLE interfaces - the so-called PALS: Pouch Attachment Ladder System. This allows for the attachment of a variety of different pouches for any operational purpose.
Durable stability, high abrasion and tear resistance while maintaining low weight. The TT IRR series meets the high Bundeswehr standards TL 8305-0278 regarding IRR camouflage effect (IRR 650 - 1250nm / 10-42%).
(MOLLE is the designation of the carrying system of the US Army as a successor to the ALICE system, the designation of the modular system is PALS - but this actually correct term is rarely used.) The Chest Rig MK II has an enormous size adjustment range, with a circumference of 75 to 149cm, making it "one size fits all." Expandable with optional MOLLE / PALS pouches and special additional parts such as a closed back panel, it can be application-specifically expanded.
