The Eickhorn Forester III is a high-quality and robust knife for civilian use. The knives in the Forester series are part of the civilian lineup of the traditional Solingen company and offer hunters, bushcrafters, and outdoor enthusiasts a sturdy, well-thought-out, and practical knife that draws on experiences from the production of military combat knives and bayonets. All Forester knives are made from Böhler N695 with a blade thickness of 5mm. The blades are coated to avoid wild-scaring reflections and to increase corrosion protection. The handle is derived from the KM2000, made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic (GFK), and provides a non-slip grip. The models without wire cutters are delivered in a classic black leather sheath with a belt loop (Forester I, II & V). The models with wire cutters are delivered in a GFK sheath with a retaining spring and wire cutting function. This sheath features a Molle attachment (Forester III & IV).
The Forester model we offer comes with an olive green handle and a blade in beryllium.

The EICKHORN-Solingen GmbH is a traditional Solingen company for steel goods, founded in 1865 by Carl Eickhorn. The company specialized early on in edged weapons and became known around 1900 for its military knives and bayonets. After several changes of ownership, the company is still a well-known and proven manufacturer of robust and reliable military knives and has recently expanded its range back to the civilian market, as it did in its early years, where it can draw on its expertise in the production of robust and pragmatic utility knives. The manufacturing takes place in the traditional manner in Solingen, making Eickhorn one of the few remaining traditional manufacturers.
