The Sidewinder Compact III is a modern lamp for tactical use or outdoor activities. As a dedicated "hands free light," this multi-lamp is designed to be attached to clothing or gear. All lamps in the Sidewinder family are built for demanding applications and keep your hands free.

Ready for use under all conditions, this lamp accepts various battery types:

CR123 3.0V
AA Alkaline 1.5V
AA Lithium 1.5V

The lamp features 4 different LEDs, each with 5 different lighting modes. Nevertheless, it is operated with just one button - by pulling out and turning the button, the corresponding LED is selected; the IR position is tactilely highlighted and can be blocked by a slider to prevent accidental operation. Pressing the button changes the lighting mode - a simple press switches to the normal lighting mode starting at the lowest level, and a double press activates the strobe mode. The button is also suitable for operation with gloves. Even in the dark, you can feel how to insert the battery correctly, and additionally, a protection is built in to prevent damage from incorrect polarity. The battery housing has holes for a lanyard attachment.

The intended use of the lamp is attachment to clothing or gear; for this purpose, it features a multifunctional clip that can be attached to various modular systems, e.g., Molle, or clipped onto a belt or backpack strap. In conjunction with this clip, the lamp can be tilted a total of 185° vertically (up/down). Additionally, various mounts are available, e.g., specifically for helmets or headbands.

The offered "Military Model" is characterized by a white, blue, green, and IR LED. The white LED has a maximum of 55 lumens with a range of about 69m; the colored LEDs are not as bright.
