The RWS "Coup De Grâce" 9mm Luger is exactly what the name says: the mercy shot. Designed as a finishing shot ammunition for wounded or injured game, the cartridge quickly converts energy while being designed for reliable function in all respects.

The nickel-plated bullet and the nickel-plated case reduce corrosion - a topic that is quite relevant for such ammunition that is constantly loaded and carried in all weather conditions - and ensure safe loading and ejection even under adverse conditions. The loading is designed for compact and sub-compact pistols, as is commonly used in hunting, and offers moderate recoil for a potential quick follow-up shot.

Based on decades of expertise in rifle ammunition and experience with law enforcement ammunition, the bullet is monolithic and made from a copper alloy. The hollow point ensures safe and proper expansion - a fundamental requirement for rapid energy transfer. Fragments and over-penetration, which could pose a danger to the surroundings, are avoided. Due to the construction, the ammunition is lead-free and, as expected from RWS, low in pollutants.
