The MDT GRND-POD for ARCA SWISS is a well-thought-out and high-quality bipod developed by MDT based on feedback from shooters. The main focus was on the ability for one-handed operation and a combination of low weight and stability. The bipod offers a total of 5 positions - folded at 0° and 180° and unfolded at 90° and 50° - a lockable and adjustable tilt with a large tilt angle of up to 40° and length-adjustable legs. In conjunction with the 50° angle, the bipod achieves a large adjustment range of approximately 11.5cm to 24.2cm in height (measured to the axis). The entire bipod can be operated with one hand - extending and folding the legs, adjusting the length, and locking the tilt. For length adjustment, the legs are simply pulled out; only to retract them, a button must be pressed.

The feet are interchangeable with those of the MDT CKYE-POD bipod or ATLAS bipods. Made from aluminum (body), carbon fiber (legs), and plastic (controls), the bipod is lightweight yet stable, weighing only about 396-478g, depending on the mount.

What is ARCA actually?
ARCA-SWISS Phototechnik AG is a Swiss camera manufacturer that designed the ARCA Rail as a quick-release interface for cameras on tripods. Still a standard in photography, the principle spread among shooters who appreciated the interface with the tripod. Since ARCA-SWISS never published the dimensions of the rail, many manufacturers (e.g., Magpul, MDT) use the RRS (Really Right Stuff - a manufacturer of camera accessories) standard, which is compatible with all original ARCA rails and most ARCA interpretations.
