The Lancer Systems L5AWM magazine is a modern hybrid magazine with magazine lips and a surrounding magazine neck made of hardened steel and an integrated high-strength polymer body. The body is resistant to impacts, shocks, chemicals, high and low temperatures, and exceeds military requirements. The magazine lips made of hardened steel do not bend or break and are resistant to fatigue when stored loaded for extended periods. The spring made of stainless steel allows for storage in a loaded state without loss of spring force, while the follower is designed to prevent binding. A water drainage eyelet in the magazine base can be closed if dust protection is a priority.

The transparent material allows for a quick overview of the magazine's loading status - this visually distinguishes the AWM from the competition.
