The Savage Revel DLX is a modern lever-action repeater from the manufacturer in Massachusetts. Made with modern materials and manufacturing methods and also featuring a modern look - in contrast to the Classic - the Revel offers the shooter a reliable small-caliber rifle for sporting use or hunting. The DLX also features a muzzle thread of 1/2"x28. The Revel is a take-down system, meaning the firearm can be quickly disassembled into two parts without tools, for easy transport or space-saving storage.

The system operates smoothly, but the trigger is dry; the magazine is a classic tube magazine and is loaded from the front, and the safety is also a classic push-button safety above the trigger. As standard, the lever-action repeater is delivered with an adjustable rear sight/front sight, the housing is prepared for optics mounting, and the lever is enlarged so that it can be easily operated with gloves. The fore-end and buttstock are made of walnut and feature a pistol grip and a rubber butt pad, as well as a modern look and "stippling" on the grip.
