The Marlin 1894 Classic is a lever-action rifle from current production. The rifle, true to its name, features a classic design with a matte-satin finish and a fore-end and buttstock made of American Black Walnut with checkering. However, even such a classic rifle does not have to forgo modern, practical solutions: the semi-buckhorn rear sight is foldable so that it does not interfere with a possibly mounted scope, the receiver is prepared for scope mounting, and a hammer extension is included so that the hammer can be cocked properly and safely even with a mounted scope. The butt plate is made of rubber for a non-slip shoulder. The new production of Marlin under the auspices of Ruger guarantees high and consistent quality.
