The Timney MP5 Two Stage Trigger is a significant improvement over the standard MP5 trigger. With a First Stage of two pounds and a Second Stage of two pounds, approximately 908g each, it offers a clearly defined and scratch-free trigger behavior with a short take-up. The housing is made of aluminum, and the internal functional parts are made of hardened steel with a nitriding for a smooth trigger pull. The Timney MP5 Trigger uses the original trigger's ejector, ejector spring, and ejector axis! Unlike the original trigger unit, the Timney MP5 Trigger only secures in the cocked position! As with an AR15, securing in the uncocked position is no longer possible (when the bolt is open, the weapon is automatically cocked, so it can be safely laid down).

Please note:
Suitable for HK MP5, 91/93 and/or 94 and most replicas such as PTR91 and/or MKE Model T94 with SINGLE-SIDED safety! Does NOT fit models with ambidextrous safety, so not HK SP5, MP5 FBI & Navy models and not for .22lr replicas.

Modification for HK SP5:
It is possible that the Timney Trigger can be used in an SP5, but this requires some expertise and only minor modifications and is NOT covered by the warranty!

Since the original ambidextrous safety lever does not fit, the conversion requires the Magpul ESK safety. The conversion is otherwise carried out according to the instructions, and the ESK safety is used. However, since this does not engage internally but has an external spring according to the "classic" MP5 housing, the safety can rotate freely with slight resistance. Two small depressions corresponding to the locking spring would need to be made in the grip to ensure that the safety properly engages when secured and unsecured. The grip is an essential part, but these changes are, as far as we know, not subject to proof testing - this work should still be carried out by a gunsmith to avoid malfunctions. Use without this modification is not recommended, as the safety could easily slip from secured to unsecured. However, for the ambitious shooter, it is still an alternative to significantly upgrade the trigger of their SP5.
