Manufactured by ALG Defense, a sister company of Geissele Automatics, the triggers of the "Enhanced Standard Trigger" series provide a replacement for the often inadequate factory triggers of law enforcement and military firearms. Care is taken to ensure that the parts correspond as closely as possible to the original, but through better processing, fits, and optimized surface treatments, "hard lubing", they exhibit a significantly better trigger characteristic.

The ACT - Advanced Combat Trigger - offers a clear, scratch-free, and somewhat softer trigger pull than the standard triggers used in the AR models of many manufacturers, thanks to its polished engagement surfaces and special coatings. The hammer and disconnect are coated with a nickel-teflon coating, while the trigger itself features a nickel-boron coating. The trigger shoe can be painted/finished to fit into a potential camouflage scheme. Both coatings are highly corrosion-resistant, so oiling the parts is not necessary.
All parts maintain the original geometry for maximum reliability.

All ACT triggers are delivered with two hammer springs - the standard Mil-Spec spring and a purple spring with reduced strength. All springs are corrosion-resistant.

The included trigger pins are made from hardened ChroMo and are ground round with minimal oversize to ensure a secure fit.

It should be noted that, according to military specifications, this is a single-stage trigger with a pull weight of no less than 5.5 pounds (approx. 2500g)! The manufacturer specifies a probable pull weight of about 6 pounds (approx. 2700g), but it may also exceed this; we have achieved up to 1,400g in tests. The trigger is therefore aimed at those shooters looking for a Mil-Spec trigger that offers a significantly improved trigger characteristic at a much lower price than drop-in solutions.

Compatibility with B&T:
As a Mil-Spec trigger, this trigger can be installed in the semi-automatic long guns from B&T - APC, SPC & GHM in all calibers can use this trigger with little or no modifications.
For installation, the B&T trigger pins are used; the trigger cannot be safely secured in a relaxed state (as is common with AR15).
*) It may be necessary to adjust the safety roller on Mil-Spec triggers so that the trigger releases in the unsafed condition. However, we have not encountered this problem with ALG so far. The safety roller will soon be available separately from us, and the adjustment will also be described there.

Expected trigger weight:
We have installed this trigger in a test firearm and measured it. The measurement values are only guidelines and cannot be guaranteed, but nevertheless, the trigger has a significantly better characteristic with proper installation.

Please note:
We have installed this trigger in PCC firearms (i.e., AR models in caliber 9 mm Luger or .45 Auto) and so far, no problems have occurred. The manufacturer does not guarantee functionality in such firearms.
