Manufactured by ALG Defense, a sister company of Geissele Automatics, the triggers of the "Enhanced Standard Trigger" series provide a replacement for the often inadequate factory triggers of law enforcement and military firearms. Care is taken to ensure that the parts correspond as closely as possible to the original, but through better processing, fits, and optimized surface treatments, "hard lubing", they exhibit a significantly better trigger characteristic.

The ALG AK Trigger Enhanced with Lightning Bow (AKT-EL) - offers a clear, scratch-free, and somewhat softer trigger pull due to its polished engagement surfaces and special coatings compared to the standard triggers used in the AK models of many manufacturers. All parts are made from special alloy steel for the firearms industry and are coated with a manganese-phosphate surface treatment. The coating is highly corrosion-resistant, so oiling the parts is not necessarily required.

The trigger replaces the factory trigger with a single-stage trigger with significantly improved characteristics - due to the model and tolerance variety in AK clones, no exact trigger weight can be specified as this is weapon-dependent. The trigger can be used for all AK47, AKM & AK74 models and variants (RPK housing such as Molot). It is possible to use it with .223, 7.62 & 5.45 - but the trigger CANNOT be used in AK derivatives for larger calibers, such as models in .308 Winchester & 12/76!

Please note:
Some AK variants have a rivet under the disconnect that also holds the rear wing of the trigger guard. This rivet must not protrude more than about 1.6mm (0.062")! If necessary, this rivet must be slightly lowered to ensure the trigger functions smoothly. Further adjustments are usually not necessary; the trigger is designed as a drop-in solution.
