The GBRS Lerna is a sight mount that offers an extra high optical axis for the red dot sight. The mount is clearly aimed at the law enforcement user and is designed with a very high 7.4cm (2.91") sight line for use with sights, night vision goggles, gas masks, hearing protection, and similar accessories that restrict a classic low position. Such high positions are also beneficial for a straight shooting stance, which aligns any body armor in the direction of fire; however, shots at greater distances are limited due to the high offset between the barrel bore axis and the optical axis.

The LERNA is available in several versions, designed for different optics.

Eotech EXPS (Picatinny)

for all sights with 1/3 Co-Witness mounting height (approx. 40mm)

Aimpoint Micro

for all sights with Micro footprint
Sight height guaranteed only with Aimpoint Micro & M5 models!
Duty RDS & M5s are higher

In the version for the Aimpoint Micro, the carrier is cut out so that a standard open sight (approx. 34-36mm height) can still be used.
