Available from stock with red BULLSEYE reticle.
The Meprolight Mepro RDS Pro V2 is the civilian version of the combat-proven red dot sight of the IDF. Extremely robust with a large field of view, it allows for quick target acquisition during driven hunts or dynamic disciplines, while the semi-automatic brightness adjustment always provides optimal visibility. Made with a sturdy aluminum housing with hard anodizing, the sight resembles a Holosight but is a classic reflex sight with a particularly protected light unit, emphasizing the insensitivity of the optics to external influences. The Picatinny mount with QD levers is an integral part of the sight and ensures a standard height of the optical axis of approximately 4.2cm (1.65"), also known as "1/3 co-witnessing."
The elevation and windage adjustments are designed without loseable caps and lie flat against the housing to avoid unintentional adjustments, with adjustments occurring in approximately 15mm/100m (0.5 MOA) steps. A standard AA battery with 1.5V provides power for several thousand hours, and the replacement of commercially available batteries can be done quickly and without tools.
With a total of 16 brightness levels, the sight can be used under all lighting conditions, with the special feature being the selectable 4 brightness groups, each with 4 automatic levels via the side rotary knob. 0 is off, 1-3 are for daytime use, with level 1 designed for a sunlight intensity typically found in the Negev rather than in Uckermark. Level 4 includes the night vision compatible groups, making the RDS Pro V2 suitable for use with night vision devices and NVGs. The illumination automatically turns on and off at levels 1-4, conserving battery life. The battery life lasts for several thousand hours, depending on intensity and reticle. The large, non-reflective ocular and objective provide an extremely clear and distortion-free image with an impressive 33x20mm field of view, and with a total weight of 281g, it is slightly lighter than comparable alternatives.
Reticle:
The reticle options include either a dot with 2 MOA (approximately 5.8cm/100m) or the "Bullseye" - the Bullseye features a 2 MOA dot within a 55 MOA (approximately 160cm/100m) target circle. Both reticles are available in red or green. The reticle and lenses are designed for use with a magnification module.
Please note: The reticle and color are fixed for each variant and are not interchangeable!
