The VORTEX Defender XL RedDot is a micro reflex sight that somewhat stretches the definition of "micro." As the largest offspring of the well-known and proven Defender family, the XL is the enlarged version of the ST, which itself is a modernized and enlarged version of the classic CCW. The XL and ST are larger than the CCW and use a CR2032 battery and the Leupold Delta Point Pro footprint, allowing them to be mounted on current optical ready SigSauer pistols without a mounting plate. For Glock MOS and Picatinny rails, suitable adapter plates are already included in the delivery.

Optimized for use in sporting, dynamic disciplines, this micro reflex sight offers the best conditions with its 5 or 8 MOA dot and distortion-free, parallax-free optics. Even when used on long guns, the sight provides advantages due to its robust construction and large lens.

The dot in 5 or 8 MOA is 10-level dimmable, activates automatically with movement, and switches off automatically after 10 minutes without movement. The multi-coated aspherical lens ensures a clear, distortion-free view, and the Shockshield polymer inserts absorb shocks and vibrations, significantly increasing the lifespan of the sight.

The housing is designed to be so stable and features a textured front that reloading pistols with the sight on edges is possible. The sight is, of course, dust and waterproof.
